Guest Speaker: Chelsea Pratchett, activist and food enthusiast
Backgrounder: Requests for new farmer’s markets are being turned down and dozens of empty spaces in current markets are a growing trend in Canada’s breadbasket provinces. Increasingly, Canadian’s demand for local food markets has outpaced production. So why the bare shelves in a rich agricultural land?
Chelsea will present a case study addressing current agricultural developments taking place elsewhere that focus on attainable solutions to this problem.
This is a free public event. Members and guests welcome.
